This is
a blog about living and working on the North Fork. What is the North Fork? It is the towns of Jamesport, South Jamesport, Aquebogue, Laurel, Mattituck, Cutchogue, Peconic, New Suffolk, Southold, Greenport, East Marion and Orient located on the east end of Long Island.
Growing up in an agriculture and maritime environment has shaped my life and interests. I live in an area that I can run out to the local farmstands and pick up fresh greens, heirloom tomatoes. Then stop into one of the fish markets to select shellfish and fish fresh off of the boats from the local waters and finally run into one of my favorite vineyards for a wine selection to compliment this meal and in minutes I am with friends sharing this experience on one of our sandy beaches watching the views and laughing.
Cutchogue is known to be one of the sunniest villages in New York. Combine that with one of the best wine trails in the world and you can start to see why I love this area. The photo in this ad was taken at Peconic Bay Vineyards. My mother works here in the fields nuturing the vines during the summer and helping in the winery during the winter. The smaller building is the break shed for all of them. It is so neat to stop in after a long work day and partake in one of the employee parties when they are celebrating an event in one of their lives with simple but fresh foods, great wine and stories that go on all night.

ManchesterThis is my 1960 Caddy Fleetwood. The car is so well known in the area he has his own following and name. Manchester is usually out and about showing homes to vacation and summer home buyers or at one of the many local classic car shows. It is amazing to drive around in a car with this era of construction and engineering. The back seat feels like a sofa! The car doors close like a vault. You can hear the solid construction as you get in and out. It is amazing to hear the stories from people who have had one of these cars in their past.1960 Cadillac Fleetwood
